Recently, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued the report “Preliminary draft report of the International Bioethics Committee (IBC) on the Covid-19 pandemic: lessons learned and implications for future directions”. The paper, entitled “The causes, impacts, and countermeasures of COVID-19 ‘Infodemic’: A systematic review using narrative synthesis”, coauthored by Chi Jianxing, a teacher from School of Communication at FNU and the first corresponding author of the paper, Professor Ma Feicheng, chief scientist of Humanities and Social Sciences at Wuhan University, and Associate Professor Pian Wenjing of School of Economics and Management at Fuzhou University, and published in the top international journal of information science Information Processing & Management (a journal of Q1computer science and Q1 information science & library science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), has been quoted many times by the report, with the views expressed in the paper adopted. This is the second time the paper was cited by one of the world’s leading organizations after it was cited by the report “Digital solutions to health risks raised by the COVID-19 infodemic policy brief” issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
